FOR MY SITE 2 ALUMNI! Can anyone else relate? “ FOR MY SITE 2 ALUMNI! Can anyone else relate?

“I will always be able to say i bungee jumped the worlds tallest bungee jump. It’s my ‘fun fact’ I use whenever needed 🤣. + climbing the Drakensburg was pretty epic.”

“I really loved getting to know the student leaders in Soweto. The relationships I made with them were special, I still keep in touch!”

“Shark diving did not go as planned for our boat but ended up being an experience we all look back at and laugh. Half of our site had exactly the kind of experience advertised at the shark diving company, seeing multiple great whites and swimming with them (on the other side of a cage). Our boat strayed into some rocky waters and nearly everyone got seasick. The only shark we saw got a taste of our lunch. Good times!”

“Going on a 5 hour hike as a whole group along the breathtaking eastern coast of South Africa starting in Mdumbi. Worshipping together on the penguin beach in Jeffery's Bay as we watched the sun set.”
“Sitting in a remote Guatemala town and drinking “Sitting in a remote Guatemala town and drinking coke in a glass bottle with site leaders talking about life.”

“I will never forget my experience living with my host family in Guatemala. I remember feeling completely lost when I first got there, but they were so welcoming to me. They were so kind and helped me a ton with my Spanish! I am very thankful for them!”

“One of my favourite memories from Guatemala was at my homestay in Chuk Muk. Our host sister and mom spent and evening trying to teach us how to make tortillas and we failed miserably, but had so much fun.”

“Worshipping on warm Guatemalan evenings”
“Bungee jumping in Whistler. I never could have “Bungee jumping in Whistler. I never could have done it without the growth that happened for me on Outtatown. I had been scared of heights for so long that I never thought I would ever be able to do anything like this but Outtatown provided the space for me to continuously face what I was afraid of. I'll never forget how scared I felt looking out over the edge but also how supported I felt as I heard everyone cheering and encouraging me on. That day I felt a part of a community, I felt loved, and I felt God in a way that I hadn't in a long time.”

What was your bungee jumping experience like?? 😏
“We were in Guatemala and a group of us had the “We were in Guatemala and a group of us had the opportunity to teach English to children at a local school. We then unexpectedly had the chance to meet the Mayor and he had treated us to dinner which was half a fish. Some of us got the head and others got the butt, it was an all around good time. Viva Guattatown”
