The Tale of Hank and Harvey

            As you may or may not have known, we had the opportunity to go on some horse trail rides. You might be thinking that this would be a sweet relaxing time, but for some of us it was pretty traumatic. We would like to share with you the tale of Hank and Harvey and their skilled riders Kristen and Heidi.

            First of all, let’s talk about Hank. He was actually a small pony, with quite the mane of hair. In his mind he was the biggest, fastest, and strongest horse of the pack. He liked taking his leisurely time on the trail, but if any of his fellow horses tried passing him, he would not allow it. He also enjoyed taking little jaunts off of the path, which resulted in Kristen’s knees being bashed into protruding branches of trees. This then resulted in a bloody knee. Nonetheless, they had a very loving relationship.

            Then there was Harvey, Heidi’s faithful horse. He and Hank were best friends, attached at the hip. They enjoyed taking unscheduled snack breaks of the delicious weeds that grow on the ground. Harvey also enjoyed taking spontaneous trots, much to Heidi’s surprise. Upon taking these trots, Heidi would cling to the saddle horn for dear life. Harvey was basically the best looking horse, seeing as how all of the lady horses seemed to be drawn to him. We are pretty sure he must work out quite often.

            Sven and his rider, Dale, thought they were hot stuff. However, it quickly became evident that he didn’t match up to Hank and Harvey’s standard of excellence. Quite often Sven would attempt to pass Hank and Harvey on the trails, only to be left behind in the dust of their iron-clad hooves.

            Hank and Harvey proved their true sense of adventure when they paved their own path through the rushing, belly-high rapids. We were very proud of Harvey’s performance, seeing as how he suffers from a condition known as arthritis. Hank proved how confident he was by taking some time to relieve himself in the middle of the river. So, in conclusion, we are pretty sure that Hank and Harvey are pretty much the sweetest horses ever. We feel like we really got to delve into their souls, and for that we are very grateful.
