More Outtatown Reflections

By Adam Krahn

Outtatown so far has just been a blast and has totally blown away any expectation I could have placed on the year. The highlight of our first month of the program for me would have to be all my new friends. It is amazing how quickly you get to know your 35 fellow students and staff when you are forced to live with them 24/7 and just can’t get away from them! It is such a joy and just so much fun to live in a great Christian community with such an awesome group of people. Through such close and constant fellowship God is really teaching me firsthand how to appreciate the differences in each of the people I’ve come in contact with. We are such a diverse group that it doesn’t take much looking to see the uniqueness of every member of the team and to celebrate and enjoy the difference between us. Equally compelling is the variation of scenery we have witnessed. From the endless Lake of the Woods in NW Ontario, to the Prairies (my home), to the incredible Rocky Mountains, it is near impossible to miss the majestic handiwork of the Creator wherever we travel.

Also worth noting is the caliber of the speakers we’ve had so far. I have already learned so much from the speakers we have already heard and I just can’t wait to hear more of what God has to say to me through the men and women. All in all, this experience has been both humbling and empowering in so many different ways and I just can’t wait to get more of it. I am so excited and ready for all that God has in store for myself and for our entire team as we continue along this crazy adventure in this service. With one month down I am ready to see what the next seven have in store for us!
