Uganda, by far the most challenging week for all SoD members. Uganda is the real Africa, red dirt, markets everywhere, strange fruit and crazy driving. In case we had forgotten we were reminded daily that we were white, "Muzungo, Muzungo" is what we heard everywhere we went...Muzungo means white person. Our daily task was to tell people about Christ door to door. As this is highly avoided in North America, everything rational inside us was telling us we canīt possibly survive. The conclusion of the week is that Godīs strength is made perfect in our weekness, all of us came away from the experience having learned something new or being challenged in a new way in our faith.
