This is the first year that the School of Discipleship has utilized this wonderful site in Alberta's Kaninaskis region. This beautiful log retreat center has been ideal for students life.

It has been a truly spectacular start to the year.
One month at some great camps on prairie lakes, then on to the streets of Vancouver & Seattle. Finally back into our Rocky Mountain Hotel and retreat center where we stay till Christmas break.

We really should be highlighting the awesome classes that have truly been a  feast for mind and soul!  However this is youth ministry so with all the travelling we have been doing it behooves us to take advantage of photo ops like Paul here having a really bad travel hair day.
Or Kristy and Allison below entertaining the locals at a youth center called "The Farm"near Seattle.

So where were we? ... oh yeah, the classroom.   Our year is about "the heart", getting to know the heart of God and experiencing this heart of God in our daily adventure.  Garreth Goosen (above) got us off to a great start.

Craig Ginn taught the history of Christianity    (    If you ever want to see someone able to teach history with passion...)     and then he led us in a powerful worship service.  Altogether, our guest instructors have been extraordinary.
