Whether your destination is Guatemala, South Africa or West Africa, you are in for one of the most incredible years of your life. You will be challenged to step out of your comfort zone and you will grow in your relationship with God. We hope that you will ask your friends and family to pray that God will reveal himself to you and to protect you as you embark on this adventure.

As you prepare for Outtatown, there are a few other things that are also essential:

Passport*

An up to date passport that will not expire for 6 months after leaving your international location is mandatory (www.ppt.gc.ca).  We recommend that you begin to process your passport application as soon as you are accepted in Outtatown.  The Outtatown office must receive two READABLE photocopies of your passport photo page, which includes the passport number, expiry date and place of issue.  Watch your student mailings for the mail-in deadline for these copies.  Please note that we cannot allow any student on the program who has not provided us their passport photocopies.

Insurance*

For Travel in Canada:

Canadian students must provide the Outtatown office with their provincial health insurance information by July 15.  We also request that you send us the policy name, policy number and phone number for any additional health insurance coverage that you may have.

Many students may have additional health insurance throught their parents employment (i.e. Blue Cross, Sunlife, etc.).  If you are not covered under your parents, then purchasing additional insurance is advisable but not required.

International students must purchase adequeate health insurance coverage for their time in Canada and provide the Outtatown office with the policy name, policy number and phone number of the insurance company.

For Travel Internationally:

All students must provide the office with their travel health insurance information, including policy name, policy number and phone number to use while overseas by September 11.

All students must be covered for health insurance for the second semester (international location).  We will be providing you with one option, which can be purchased through our travel agent, but you can purchase health insurance on your own.

Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is mandatory for all students travelling with the group to their international location.  The cost for this insurance will be added to the cost of your flight.

Travel Health Requirements*

All health requirements should be completed during the summer.  We recommend that you visit your local travel health doctor in order to receive guidance from them.
