NEW! French Africa Outtatown Discipleship School
This is a bi-lingual, one semester Christian discipleship program that will introduce you to history, culture, religion and hope within the context of West Africa. You will travel from Winnipeg (St. Boniface), to Montreal, Quebec City, Paris, and locations in West Africa with a focus on Burkina Faso. Strong connections will be made with French speaking churches and ministries along the way. Each country you visit will have some important cultural and historical connections with the next.
You will be immersed in Outtatown’s core values of Christian study, service, travel and adventure within a mentoring community. Each Outtatown program is thematically distinct, with this program introducing students to issues found where Western and Muslim communities meet. Your interactions, classroom sessions, and cultural tours will also feature the importance of Canadian French-English language/culture duality. Some of these guided studies will focus on topics such as imperialism, affluence & poverty, immigration, food resources, development aid, sustainability issues and more. Prepare to be spiritually and intellectually stretched as you travel with friends throughout the french-speaking world!
